Captain Greg and his crew provided an excellent half-day trip dedicated to sight casting for cobia. We spotted around 20-25 cobia, casting at about half of them, and also trolled for Spanish Mackerel. My son landed his first cobia and caught a good number of Spanish Mackerel. The boat was spacious and comfortable, and the crew was friendly and relaxed. My 8-year-old’s review: “It was good.”

What a fantastic day! Although we had to switch to a different Captain, we had an incredible time. The new Captain was a blast, assisting us with our catches and being very friendly. Our first mate was exceptional—extremely knowledgeable and supportive throughout. Both made our fishing trip unforgettable. My son and the rest of the family are eagerly looking forward to booking with Earning Stripes Sportfishing again next year.

My guys all raved about how fantastic the trip was! The weather was foul and the seas were rough, but Captain Greg and his first mate came through! The guys said the trip would have been enjoyable even if they hadn't caught Cobia because of how great the crew was! I can't thank you and your first mate enough!

My fishing trip with Captain Greg was fantastic. I had no idea what to expect as an angler who only fished on the west coast when I chartered with Greg. I didn't bring any of my rods or tackle because I flew into Virginia. Greg provided all of the necessities, including the fishing license, which was extremely convenient. He took us to fishing spots where we caught large game fish. We were pulling fish left and right with nonstop action. The entire day flew by, and we were exhausted from fighting fish after fish. The trip exceeded my expectations, and I would strongly recommend booking with Captain Greg. He was not only very knowledgeable, but he also had a lot of experience.

Captain Allman and Mate Joseph were outstanding. The boat was very comfortable, with air conditioning, which was very useful in the 90+ degree heat. They went sight fishing for Cobia. We trolled for Spanish Mackerel and jigged over a wreck to catch them. In a half-day trip, we caught two Cobia that were over 40 inches long and nine mackerel. They were extremely helpful and dedicated to the charter's success. Captain Allman's experience with his boat made landing the Cobia a breeze. Joseph was amazing and one of the most likable people you'll ever meet. We had a fantastic time and would charter with Captain Allman again.
